Last Sunday was the big DoodleBop concert - Nate, Thomas and I went. It was a lot of fun, very energetic and colourful but a bit loud for Nate as we were in the 2nd row (probably the closest seats I have had for any concert, ever). Thomas got to high 5 the orange DoodleBop called Moe which was the highlight of the concert for him! I got them each a t-shirt (see below) and Nate slept in his for a couple of nights until I was able to sneek it away from him to wash.
Later on Sunday we noticed that Sophie was not herself - really fussy, not nursing and she felt quite warm. Sure enough, later that night she got a really high fever that lasted until Wednesday. I thought she was better but the next day she got a bumpy red rash all over. Turns out she had a classic case of roseola. She is still a bit "off" but is definitely on the mend. It is so hard when the littlest ones are sick, they can't tell you what wrong or what hurts so you just have to wait it out...
On Thursday Mum (aka Momo) arrived for a visit. It was a surprise for the boys so the look on Thomas' face when she was waiting at the bus stop for him at the end of the day was priceless! We had lots of stories and joke telling, mostly fart jokes by Thomas and Nate. Is this normal? Do all boys talk about farts and burps all day?? We also had a very exciting round of Wii bowling and tennis that had Mum and I laughing so hard. Oh and I can't forget Mum's go at the Hula Hoop. Very, very funny but she did so well since it was her first time - Go Mum!!!
Anthony is away this weeked at the NS Liberal Party's AGM - I haven't heard from him much which I hope means it is a productive meeting. There is sure to be an election soon so they can't be too prepared!
Heather was so very generous to come down and spend the night with me and the kids tonight. I just don't like be alone over night - I'm a big wimp I know but we really do live in the boonies.... We had a yummy supper and Thomas and Nate had their dance off which was, as always, very entertaining. I just know one of them is going to end up on stage!
