Thomas' Valentine's Day Cards

School was cancelled again today because of the icy roads. Thomas was really disappointed because he spent 2 hours yesterday making Valentines cards for all the kids in his class, his teacher, bus driver, gym teacher, music teacher... you get the picture. For those of you who know Thomas well, you know this gesture is very much in line with his generous personality. Tomorrow is a PD day so no classes again. Guess he'll be handing them out on Monday. I bought him Kung Fu Panda Valentines cards but he didn't think any of the girls in his class would be too impressed with them. "Mummy, they only like Barbies and princesses. We'll have to make different ones for them." I tried to explain that since two of the characters were girls that it would be OK. He listened patiently but nope, they just wouldn't do. Since I had left it until last night to start them, there weren't many options available, soooooo, out came the construction paper and scissors. After a few false starts (on my part) the pink and red hearts began to pile up on the kitchen table. After writing out about six he starting thinking that maybe, just maybe the girls might like Kung Fu Panda after all. After much debate he decided to keep on going and finished all twelve. He did a great job!
