She is growing up so fast!

Our little Sophie has been sick all week with a virus called Roseola and a nasty cold. But despite feeling under the weather she has still managed to learn how to sit up all by herself !! Once she realized that I was in front of her, not behind her and that she was sitting by herself she was so excited. She started reaching out for her toys right away. A whole new world has opened up for her now. But it is bittersweet, because it means that she is growing up. I just love newborns but I am so very excited to watch her explore this new stage in her life. Now, if I could only get her to see the beauty of a full night's sleep.... oh well, before I know it, I'll be shaking her awake at noon on Saturday mornings and wishing she would just get up : )
